About us
The Liberty County Film Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and strengthening the creative community in Liberty County and beyond. We bring together filmmakers, writers, videographers, directors, editors, actors, and storytellers of all levels to collaborate, learn, and showcase their talents. Independent from county or city government, our focus is entirely on supporting local creatives and giving them the tools and opportunities to grow.
Our Mission
Our mission is to connect and empower local filmmakers, writers, crew, and storytellers. Through workshops, networking opportunities, and showcases, we foster collaboration, skill-building, and authentic storytelling. We exist to strengthen Liberty County’s creative community and provide a platform for local voices to be seen and heard.
Our Vision
We envision Liberty County as a recognized hub for creative talent, where film and storytelling bring people together, inspire new generations, and contribute to the cultural and economic growth of our community. By cultivating collaboration and celebrating local artistry, we aim to build a lasting legacy of creativity that extends beyond our county lines.
What We're Building Towards
The Liberty County Film Society is working toward a future where Liberty County is home to a film park that serves as a cultural and creative hub. Our goal is to build facilities that bring together filmmakers, students, veterans, and residents to learn, create, and share stories.
